Terms of Use
Last updated 29 July 2026
Please do not rely on RiseMemo alone for anything critical. It is an alarm clock on a consumer phone. Silent mode, Do Not Disturb, a flat battery, a system update or the operating system suspending the app can all stop an alarm from sounding. For a flight, an exam or a shift, set a second alarm.
Using the app
RiseMemo lets you set alarms and wake to audio you supply yourself, by recording it or importing it. You may use the app for personal, non-commercial purposes. Please do not attempt to reverse engineer it, resell it, or use it to break the law.
Your content
Recordings and files you add remain yours. They stay on your device; we never receive them and claim no rights over them. You are responsible for what you import — only add audio you have the right to use, and do not record other people without their knowledge where the law requires their consent.
Free features and Pro
RiseMemo is free to use, including unlimited alarms, sharing your sounds, and a starting allowance of voice recordings and imported files. Pro removes those allowances and unlocks the sound effects studio.
Pro is offered as an auto-renewing subscription (weekly, monthly or yearly) or as a single lifetime purchase. Prices are shown in your local currency in the app before you buy.
Subscriptions, renewal and cancellation
- Payment is charged to your Apple App Store or Google Play account at confirmation of purchase.
- A subscription renews automatically at the same price and period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours of the end of the current period.
- You can manage or cancel a subscription at any time in your store account settings, or from the link inside the app. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
- The lifetime option is a one-time purchase. It does not renew and there is nothing to cancel.
Refunds
Purchases are processed by Apple and Google, so refunds are handled under their policies and must be requested through them. We cannot issue refunds directly. If a purchase is refunded or a subscription lapses, Pro features stop being available.
Availability
We may update, change or discontinue features. Some capabilities depend on your device and operating system and may behave differently or become unavailable after a system update.
Disclaimer and liability
RiseMemo is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We are not liable for any loss arising from a missed or failed alarm, or from lost recordings — including missed appointments, travel, work or income. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, and if you are a consumer you keep every statutory right your local law gives you.
Backups
Your recordings live only on your device. There is no cloud backup. If you lose or reset the device, or delete the app, your recordings are gone. Keep your own copies of anything irreplaceable — you can share a sound out of the app to save it elsewhere.
Changes to these terms
If these terms change, the updated version appears on this page with a new date above. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept it.
